Info page for mod tutorials not working please help

http://soase.x90x.net/?i=model/tools.html is not working.

I'm deperately trying to find out how I can import .mesh models from the game into 3d moddeling software. The 3ds max importing/exporting script has stopped working and I'm now trying to use autodesk softimage.

I would greatly appreciate if someone could tell me how this is done!

Edit: Have been digging through the forum a bit more. The way I understand it the only way to get .mesh into a 3d moddeling program of any kind requires the use of the 3ds max script. Last time I did this was in 2010 and in those days I used 3ds max 7. Now that software doesn't seem to work with windows 7 64bit.

Therefore, does anyone know if the soastool 1.1 script works with a modern version of 3ds max that is compatible with win 7 64bit?

Not sure where you got that link as I just fixed all the links on my pinned post. I am creating a XSI project that will include the modeling tutorials so I needed to move them.

EDIT: ah, found that bad link on the modeling start page menu, fixing ...  O:)

http://soase.x90x.net/?i=start.html should have all good links

I just used the script, worked with Max 2010 on Win 7 64. For Rebellion meshes you need to convert to text, remove the 3rd line mipmaplevel 0 or something, and convert back to bin.

Damned ImageShack dumped a lot of my images when they went to pay or only so much space, I was way over and would not pay. Working on fixing the site now.

More downloads location, large files I will be storing here,

Thank you for your reply myfist! Will try with 3ds max 2010. In the mean time, converting meshes from bin to txt then removeing the 3rd line does nothing once converting back to bin. The converter automatically adds the line back in. Maybe I should use the old diplomacy convertdata?

ya, guess i forgot that part  :S

To convert the meshes from BIN to TXT to BIN, I keep this !ConvertMesh folder in all my mods Mesh folder. Move the mesh into the folder and click the .bat you want, it will do multiple files.

to txt with reb

to bin with dip

Thanks again myfist, I have got the model to load now in 3ds max! However, I can't export it. After assigning a standard material I click export in the script and I get "Type error: Call needs function or class, got: undefined" And the script window stops at "sMesh = SplitMesh ()"

Do you know what might be causing this error?

never used it for that, the tutorial wip shows exporting to .obj for model and UV and export to .fbx for meshpoints, all just to get into xsi.
