Unable to run game since I changed screens

I've got a rather annoying issue.  I used to have a 22 inch monitor under a 1680x1050 resolution which broke recently, so I plugged my old 19 inch, 1440x900 screen back on my computer.

 

Ever since then, I have been utterly unable to run GalcivII:TotA.  Dark Avatar and GalcivII work fine, but Arnor will simply give me a black screen after opening and then nothing.  No intro video, no audio, no cursor.  Ram usage for the game is at around 8 megs, and never increases.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but the problem persists.

The other two games I haven't played in eons.  I never even played them with that 22inch screen, and were under 1024x768 under firstboot after I reinstalled GalcivII.

 

Is there a way I can force screen resolution back to 1440x900, or could this be something else?


I have Windows 7 SP1 x64 and my drivers are up to date.  I can produce a dxdiag if needed.

The game has a prefs.ini file in its folder under my documents/my games which has the resolution setting. You can manually modify it there, or just delete the file entirely and it'll reset to the default.

Thanks!  It worked.  

 

I was looking in the game directory and couldn't find anything.  Didn't think of checking the My Games folder.
