Windows Blinds beta update

I don't think its fair to be made to paid for windowsblinds beta, when I have already paid 19.00 for the software even windows 8 people don't even charge for update so why is stardock people doing so, Microsoft isn't even going to charge for the windows blue update,  I am running both win 7 and 8 but I can only us windowblinds on win 7 that sucks

Relax, you'll get your turn.  Nobody is being "charged" for the update. Beta 1 is for ODNT subscribers, one of the advantages of the subscription.

I bought Windowblinds when version 7 was released. How come I can only download version 7.4? Where is 7.9? I have gone to the Stardock store and it shows I can buy Windowblinds for $9.99 but shows only for windows vista/7. I would gladly pay the $9.99 to upgrade to version 8 but it's not showing. So whats the deal?

7.41.1 is the most recent/current release of WB7.  7.9 is the first limited release public Beta of WB8.  [there were also quite a few alphas bouncing around internally prior].

The first-access limited Beta release only to OD subscribers is both the advantage of being an OD subscriber and also a 'thankyou' to OD subscribers for subscribing.

Limiting the first release also limits repetitive feedback issues - it's easier to respond to noted bugs from a smaller user base than to receive mutliple reports of the same issue from many...

Beta two will have a larger target audience.

It should be noted that unless you purchased WindowBlinds 7 within a certain time period (I am unsure on what this is yet) the upgrade to WB8 will not be free.  Obviously those with an active ObjectDesktop subscription will get the upgrade for free.

Windows 8 upgrade from Windows 7 is also not free...

Can you guys tell us how soon the rest of us will be able to download window blinds beta, I suppose I will have to break down and purchase it all over again, but it better be worth it, like new skins, explorer backgrounds, maybe I should design one myself, anyway keep us in the loop, we are waiting with bated breath.

One would hope not, too. It's a revision of Windows 8 to improve Windows 8.

Windowblinds 8 is not a revision of Windowsblinds 7.  Windowblinds 8 is designed for a NEW OS aka Windows 8....;)
