Children of Storm

A high fantasy mod pack for Fallen Enchantress: Legendary heroes by Heavenfall, with help from EviliroN and jeffqyzt2. Players are advised to not play with the Rivermod on Huge maps, as the game may have issues with memory then. If you are having issues with world resources, such as iron ore, not appearing in your game - delete the Rivermod folder and start a new game. This only affects a small number of players for unknown reasons.

In general yes. But you can make your compatible with Heavenfall's mod by adding the appropriate UnitStat_BG_ tags. It's a rather simple process and whenever I make a mod to the game I do this just to keep it compatible with Heavenfall's stuff.

Attach this where you see the units in Heavenfalls mod, they show up in the level area of the <UnitType> definitions.

The unitstat lib also adds traits to lots of monsters (like "This unit counts as a God"). Your best bet, cohka, would be to do a direct comparison between my CoreMonsterUnitTypes.xml and the one found in the installation directory. You can use software like winmerge to help you out.

Uploaded v.0.3 containing the champions

If you regularly play this mod and its new factions, please send me your unit designs so that I can include them into the mod! They can be found in Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Units\ and you can e-mail them to [email protected]

Changelog for 0.2->0.3:

  • Added in most champions from Stormworld, reworked for FE:LH. 26 level 1 champions, 8 level 3 champions. Each champion has the same chance to appear as vanilla champions (in Stormworld these were more likely to appear)
  • Fixed Centaur unit design trait Misogynist so it no longer mentions blunt and cutting attack
  • Reworked the Hex mechanic. The hex trait, if suffered, now appears in the General trait tree. It is lifted through a normal level-up by selecting a counter-trait, but the character must fulfil the "special circumstances" or the counter-trait will not be available for picking. http://i.imgur.com/1WtaRCa.png

 

The next version will be 1.0, meaning all content should be ported from Stormworld to CoS then. Specifically, currently missing is the Reliquary. Due to its size, it's going to take me maybe a week to do that.

Awesome, I'll wait for V. 1 too. Are there any plans for further expansion, by chance? Like, some uncommon and rare city upgrade options?

Hi Heavenfall,

i played your mod for E:FE for around 200 hours. Im so glad that you decided to port your mod to LH.

Some bugs i found:

- Stormlord starts with only 8 HP

- Living Stone do not getting the grain malus

- there is a nameless building with no description and one round build time in the city screen

 

 

Im curious: Why do you think that your orcs are a underpowered race? Do you plan to bring them back in with better abilities?

The warboar mount isnt fitting the golem race, but that is just my opinion.

I've encountered this, myself.  I wasn't sure if it was a general LH bug or a bug specifically for this mod.  I'm using v0.1 at the moment.

They were boring to play and didn't look unique to me.

 

Thanks for the bug reports guys, really appreciate it. I'm uploading 0.4 now with:

  • Fixed Living Stone bloodline giving +33 initiative, should be -1
  • Fixed Living Stone faction ability Inorganic Sustenance so that it now appropriately reduces grain in cities by 2
  • Fixed Frost Giant dire bear mount having the wrong skin
  • Fixed Drota sovereign Stormlord missing 9 hitpoints, now has the 15 base
  • Fixed one instance of an empty building appearing in the city build list

I'm still on version 0.1 and I had some type of werewolf recruitment building in my ZOC that I wasn't able to build as it required some influence.  I noticed the same thing on other added recruitment buildings as I gained some tech.  Please excuse my post if it's been changed in the newer versions.

Quick question: after installing the mod should we still be able to select the vanilla sovereigns? Under "Available Sovereigns" I can only see the 12 new sovereigns and my custom created ones. Lord Relias, Lady Irane etc. have dropped off the list. Sorry, I can't remember if that's what happened in Stormworld too.

 

Minor text issue: the Gnome abilities reads: "Can wear armor class one above their current limit (leather=gt&;chainmail, chainmail=gt&,plate)." It looks like the greater than symbol is not displaying correctly.

 

Thank you for the mod - great to see it making the transition to LH. :-)

  • Added in most of the Reliquary (disabled some items that don't make sense with new mechanics)
  • Moved the 20 events from Reliquary to new module ChildrenOfStorm_Events (disabled 3 that don't make sense in LH mechanics)
  • Fixed new monster recruitment sources costing influence, an unused resource
  • Fixed typo in gnome bloodline
  • Added in race-specific Injuries from Stormworld for fantasy champions. Example: Angel champions can suffer the injury Greed - Champion steals 1 Gildar per turn
  • Fixed an issue that made it so Eternal Resurrection did not prevent injuries
  • Added new skeletons with better off-hand locations for dual-wielding
  • Removed ugly grass from corrupted rivers
  • Fixed issue where custom sovereigns made from the new factions in this mod would have incorrect units at the start of a game (you need to re-make any sovereigns you made)

For those of you that downloaded 1.0, please go into ChildrenOfStorm_Champions and delete TEMPDEBUGSPELL.xml before before starting up. It will break your gameplay.

I uploaded a new copy to the download location without the file.
