Children of Storm

A high fantasy mod pack for Fallen Enchantress: Legendary heroes by Heavenfall, with help from EviliroN and jeffqyzt2. Players are advised to not play with the Rivermod on Huge maps, as the game may have issues with memory then. If you are having issues with world resources, such as iron ore, not appearing in your game - delete the Rivermod folder and start a new game. This only affects a small number of players for unknown reasons.

Why am I unable to recast Death Forge (and I assume other CoS forge spells) on a city after removing it? Is it a one-time only enchantment per city?

I do not see this problem, I can re-cast it on a city after removing it. Do you still control a death forge? If you do, can you send me a save where you have this problem to [email protected]?

@1oui3man I found the problem, thank you for sending me the save. It is a bug limited to Undead using the Death Forge spell. I will upload 1.2c with a fix, but unfortunately I cannot fix your game currently in progress.

HF - as a follow up to my previous post about Gibbai lairs. I'm noticing the same thing with the Faerie Lairs. It got the point in my current game I couldn't see the lairs on either the strategic or cloth maps, thus had to ensure I immediately looted else I would forget they were there. Mouseover is fine on both, it's just the visuals weren't showing for either.

Just some commentary -  deleted the folder prohibiting the vanilla factions. I'm playing as Yithril on Huge map Ridiculous Faction AI with Expert Monster AI. Frost Giants dominated the map and then we ended up going toe to toe in an epic battle of Frost Giants vs. Juggernauts.  One of my most memorable games yet. The game changer was getting blood curse, putting it on sov, then paragon buffing my death mage to level 40 or so thus maxing out all trait trees except summoning. Also found the magic carpet so then it became a teleportation stack of doom hurricane wail death machine. Anyway, having alot of fun with this mod. My 9 year old daughter loves it as well.

Minor bug on version 1.2c. The Gnome hedge wall and fort when they spawn defenders do not have multipliers for the number of units per group.

 

Edit 1:

The Arena of Slakhanan seems to be bugged too. It's giving out strange weapons and then no proceeding to the final round with the stone golums. I got a helmet called "memory" from it.

 

Edit 2:

The Arena issue I think is caused by one of my mods. Please ignore for now.

Hi HF - minor issue but it appears the Electroalg has an extended delay in tactical combat after you attack them. It does that regardless if you are attacking via melee or range. Thanks.

AlLanMandragoran the extended delay appears to be only about a second. Is that correct, or are you seeing a longer delay?

Hi HF - I don't have the save but it was noticeable enough. I would say about 2-3 seconds. However, I normally play at 5x tactical speed so it's quite possible that the delay at the end was more noticeable to me because the rest of the combat was fast. It definitely seemed a noticeable difference. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.

Hi HF - fyi Cloaks of Heirarchy mouseover text for Frost Giants references 9 man units instead of the intended 6 (I think).

I've been waiting for the 1.3 version before playing Children of Storm. But now after having finally played a few games, all I can say is WOW! This mod completely transforms the playing experience without feeling out of place. Great work! Thank you!
