Does the AI get random events?

Just wondering, does anyone know if the AI is given the random event type quests?  

Examples would be Bacco the Begger, Night of Haunted Dreams, Allies... that sort of stuff.   Does the AI get the opportunity to somehow play through them?  Do they even trigger for the AI?

I'm not sure, but I do know that the spider armies in "spider invasion" random event ignore the AI.

In FE, events triggered by TurnNumber did not spawn for AI, but those triggered by TotalPopulation did.

Possibly, but the AI does not ignore them. In a recent game I played, Magnar threw countless armies at the spiders.

I seem to get the spider invasion in the early game whenever I'm able to expand quickly or conquer another faction.

I could be wrong but seems that the TotalPopulation quest is a bit bugged in LH.  I can get a quest to fire using it but then when you get the treasure GiveUnit treasure doesn't seem to work.  If I use the TurnNumber it works fine.  I guess possibly it was the same in FE.

Shame the turn number trigger doesn't fire for the AI.

Just been testing, and as far as I can tell, the TotalPopulation trigger isn't firing for the AI in LH either.  Dang it!      :annoyed:

No, they are playing a different game than the player. It is just not overly advertised, and thus people say they are cheating because of it. The point is that the rules the AI follows are different and should be equivalent to the player. The random events are designed for the player not the AI. Also, turn quests are usually non-repeatable, that may be a symptom of the problem as well. But since Heavenfall says they wouldn't trigger I'm confident that they will not trigger for the AI in general.
