Recently bought FE, now unable to upgrade to legendary heroes??

Hi there, i recently bought the game but now im unable to upgrade it to legendary heroes?? I bought the game intending that i would be able to upgrade as i was gonna buy the new one! now I get the following message :

Upgrade quantity exceeded.

The upgrade quanity you have specified has exceeded the number of parent products you own for Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes Upgrade.

 

I assure you I have NOT upgraded it yet......

If i knew that by buying FE Which i though id check out whilst also being able to update to the new game later i would now have to pay another 40 usd for the new game i wouldnt have bothered! really disappointed at the moment.

Do you have FE registered under the same email address as you're trying to purchase LH with?

The offer is there you just have to mess about a bit to find it.  First time I tried I kept getting the full price, can't remember now how I got to the offer.  They don't make it easy.

You go to the store page and then click on Legendary heroes (there's red text that links you to a cheaper price, if you are logged in).

I wanted to ask also something. I saw an offer on steam of LH at a discount for about 15 euro if i remember right. The description said that FE is not necessary. Now i have FE so i just buy that one?

Both are stand-alone expansions, LH doesn't need FE to use, but owners of Fallen Enchantress get a discount when purchasing FE: Legendary Heroes.
