No.

Not yet. The first part of it is almost done but I'm probably gonna wait for the update before I release it.

Reduced 88%Original 500 x 500

That's pretty darn good and matches up with the Sin's Tech look IMO.

You should send that to SolCommand as an alt texture on his site. He's done that with one or two other contributed textures to his models.

I'll try both for you. I've been fairly successful fixing meshes in the past (no guarantees though).

Just email to same name at gmail.com.

I've successfully executed the resize exe but have not had a chance to test if the output mesh is valid.

I do have one feedback of concern about the tool itself.

It does not appear to allow export to a directory other than the main C:\ drive in my case. If I try to export to my hard drive with modding files it displays an error "Please select another Target Folder!".

SolCommand's models have many polygons that are more than 4 sides. Whenever you use a model from another source a simple step to perform is to select the Model so it's highlighted.

Then Select Poly. Mesh->Triangulate. This won't impact the Uvmap or texture in anyway, but will ensure the model is all triangles thus removing any holes.

The alternative way as sins can handle 3 or 4 sided polygons is to select the Model. Select->Select N-sided Polygons->Five or More Sides. And Run the Triangulate option on only the selected 5 or more sided polygons.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

If you mean the one that calls itself "Mesh Resize (C) Newbeorg Version 0.85" when you use it, I've been using it on Windows 7 for some time.

They are valid, I think it might even work with Rebellion meshes.

For me, I cannot export to the same folder the model is imported from. I always dump my resized meshes into My Documents for example and it works fine, and then cut and paste them back into the mod folder I imported them from.

You can post up Distant Stars and keep it up to date if you want. We've kinda abandoned it.

Update:

Finished another part of the Sins Plus "Universal Mayhem" expansion.

The expansion currently adds 26 ships, 6 structures, new planet textures, new gravity well and lots more.

Fun...

I take it the poly count on what you called "Dron Deployer" from SolCommand didn't cause you any issues? I seem to recall it was rather high.
