Mod Folder Directory Problems in GalCiv2: Ultimate

   Hey there.
I'm having problems with my GalCiv2's mod directory after re-installation. The GalCiv2 game itself is located in my ProgramFilesx86\Stardock Games\ directory. The problem is that when I try to open a mod in-game, there are no mods available to be selected. The directory the game wants to use is 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Galactic Civilizations II - Ultimate Edition\Twilight\Mods\Default', which I have not assigned to it, but was selected when I pressed the 'default' button in the mod options in-game.
I've made that file path, and placed my mod, which means it *should* have worked. It doesn't. I've tried placing mods in all the other 'mods' folders related to GalCiv. Nothing. It doesn't even recognize the default and example mods.
A couple other things: Yes, I've searched for the solution on my own already. Nothing was helpful. Zyxpsilon said something about 'Macmatt' and some kind of 'BrowseWnd.dxpack' thing, but I couldn't find that either. And no, it's not a problem with the actual mod, because they worked fine beforehand. And it doesn't recognize the ones that come with the game, either. Also, I've reinstalled it a few times now, to retry, and nothing works.
   Help would be much appreciated.

In your Documents/MyGames/GC2TwilightArnor do you have a Prefs config file? It should have a line starting with ModsDir.

Yes, I have. So, I tried changing the directory route in the Prefs file, but it didn't work. It still won't show any mods.

Zyxpsilon said something about 'Macmatt' and some kind of 'BrowseWnd.dxpack' thing, but I couldn't find that either.

The issue that mod was intended to solve was that the text in the mod selection window was invisible. If that is the case here, it is still clickable despite that and you can select a mod if you click where it should be in the list. That should be fixed now, though (at least it appears to be in the Steam release of the game).

At any rate, just clicking the Default button should create a mods folder if it doesn't exist. But if it is set to an actual Mods/Default folder, that'd mean it's set to that of the actual "Default" mod that comes with the game. Your own mods should just go in the Mods folder, not in Mods/Default.

Thanks to Kryo, I believe it is working. For those who may look for the solution to this problem: You have to place the mods in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Galactic Civilizations II - Ultimate Edition\Twilight\Mods, and not in the default. If you do not have the 'Mods' folder in the Twilight folder, you'll have to make one.

   Thank you Kryo, and antibor!
