A few bugs

Looked around and no-one seems to have mentioned these:

I hired a hero and gave him a bow.  Now, when he attacks, most of the time there is no animation, and after about 15 seconds the attack resolves (ie, you see damage/dodge).  It's not 100% of the time, maybe 80.

I had just founded my third city, went into the build menu, and when I came out, all the overlays except the map would not appear (city, army, etc.)  The menu button at top left also disappeared.  It would come back when I was in battle, and then be gone again.  I figured out that I could access the menu with 'esc', so I'm about to go back in and see if starting from a save fixes it.
