Bug .50 one handed spears ability unable have it be upgraded when designing troop

Just took this ability an while it does work, you cant select the upgrade ability for it, because it defaults then back to the club.  I remember in FE, you could have the one handed spear and be able to then upgrade it when designing your troops.

I would love to see an upgrade path for each combination of weapon special ability + one/two handedness. That way, when you upgrade a soldier, they still have the same abilities as they did prior to the upgrade.

Probably related, but if you have 1-handed spears, the starting spear units you start out with start with staves instead of spears.

This is fixed in 0.51.  We have been looking into the unit design issue, but its going to take a little more work.

I think things got shittier when you guys started combining weapon/armor categories.  Things like magic robes and chest armor use to have separate categories for upgrade, same with spears and axes.  Now shit gets all mixed up with upgrading.  I had a unit that was made with a hammer and leather armor and wooden shield.  I did some research could now have metal bucklers, but when I went to upgrade his armor, it also won't let me because I don't have the crystals to upgrade his chest to the monks robe I don't want him to wear in the first place.

I'm going to take this to mean that you're finally going to let us upgrade our units using the Unit Designer.  \o/

The real issue is that the previous 'weapon categories' were actually just damage type categories. So when we removed damage types we lost that distinction. We have been getting around the problem with some of our pre-made units by keying off of the animation types, however, that is what led to the staff issue. In the future we will be fixing this the right way and getting unit design back where we want it, for now we have triaged the 1-handed spears so they don't have this problem anymore at least.

Would it be easier to click on a design and upgrade it manually?  To borrow Xia's example, he would have design A with the hammer, armor and shield. Then when he gets a new tech he could click upgrade, be presented with the previous design where he can make changes.
