Some stuff, nothing major. LH Beta

I've only played a little bit here..

  • Swarm Mechanic on maul and backswing… NOT A FAN  :typo: .  Also why is the swarm mechanic for dodge applying to all units in the swarm?   Does not make sense for the main unit to swing and miss and everyone else swing and miss also.   I understand it’s a cumulative effect but if the main unit swings and misses can’t the algorithm apply the base damage bonus for the adjacent units.  Here’s a Made up example… main unit does 10 damage and 2 adjacent units get 10% of the main units damage in the swarm.    Main unit misses attack now the other 2 units should either roll to hit or miss, if they hit shouldn’t the target get 1 point of damage from the swarm bonus?

I do not assume to know how the swarm mechanic works; I’m just looking at it from an outside perspective.

  • I set a path for some units during my turn and clicked next turn, during the between turn phase monsters came up behind me.  The following turn I did my thing and clicked next turn expecting my units to follow the path I set and instead my units did not move and were subsequently attacked.   If I were to auto move them during that turn they would have moved before those monsters had a chance to attack.  Not sure why they are moving during the between turn phase for AI and monsters, should be moving at the end of my turn phase before the AI and Monsters.

Ive entered a bug for the water walking.  I'll need your debug.err to check out the texture issues.

Thank you for the report! :)

I have also run into the bug where units spawn on the mountain in battles.  Seems to only be that map.

From what I understand, the Swarm mechanic, while it looks like the other units are attacking, they're not.  Instead, they're lowering the target's defense by distracting it.  I'm assuming that it will drop it into the negatives causing the damage to increase, because sometimes I get some pretty high damage numbers with it.  I would like to see the math involved, or at least a more detailed explanation, because sometimes I see larger damage bonuses than other times.

I've noticed some pretty high damage numbers as well.  The more of the same unit I move in, the higher the damage was.

I do like that there is a bonus for adjacent units, but I wonder if it's a bit overpowered at the moment?  Not that I mind when it benefits me. :)
