confused fallen enchantress not on steam; fallen enchantress legend on steam

I can't comment yet on Fallen Enchantress Legend since I haven't gotten very far but

I'm a bit confused:

I have fallen enchantress via stardock - and Fallen enchantress legend via steam; but I thought that legend as an expansion shared files with enchantress.

Since I've stopped updating Fallen Enchantress (since the patch doesn't work on my system and it became a bit of a chore to delete the old version and redownload the full tarball and install) will this create issues for Fallen Enchantress Legend? Also will Fallen Enchantress eventually appear in my steam library when Legend exist beta ?

I've also got Stardock-based FE and Steam-based LH. There's no problem. LH knows to look for the FE files, and keeps track of them. FE: LH is in my Steam listing, and should be in yours.

However, if you haven't been updating FE, you may have issues. I can't say, since I update regularly.

EDIT: I stand corrected by Heavenfall. Apparently, the two installations are mutually exclusive.

FE:LH is completely stand-alone. It functions like a sequel. It does not require you to have FE installed anywhere.

Ok thanks Missed that. For some reason I thought the Legend key was going to provide both games on Steam; I mostly cared because I had hoped it would fix my patch problem with FE. I guess for now I should enjoy FE-LH.

Perhaps you should uninstall and reinstall FE. That way, you'd get the latest version.

Eventually; kind of painful for me to download the full tarball each time.

I had the exact same problem today, and I seem to have fixed it.

I bought FE:LH last night, and in coming home and checking to see if it had remotely installed I was frustrated to find it wasn't in my library. I checked around every way I could think, and found it in my downloads queue.

For some reason it seemed to have designated itself as hidden. I right clicked on it in the downloads queue and went to 'set categories'. I happen to have my games organized by genre, so I use this function every time I get a new game. There is a 'hide this game in my library' box that simply needed to be unchecked, click it and your game should present itself.

I hope this helps!
