[0.50] Resolution problems associated with non-standard DPI

When I start Legendary Heroes the text is all blocky, and the game is running in full-screen, but it's in a box in the top left part of my screen, maybe 1/4 of my total screen resolution. The mouse pointer isn't lined up properly either, I have to try to guess where the text would be if the display was expanded across my entire screen and move the mouse around blindly. I assume it has something to do with me having a DPI of 150% for text (older I get the more I have to play with DPI for a 2560x1600 screen).

Yes, I just checked it, I have to change the DPI back down to 100% to play the Legendary Heroes without serious graphical problems. I guess I can deal with it, but its a pain as e-mail and web browsing is a real pain at standard DPI and I'm always multitasking. 

I've had this problem in the past with a couple old games like Baldur's Gate 2 where I have to decrease the resolution of the game down to below half my screen's resolution.

Windows 8 64 bit edition, GTX 690 video card.
