To view the settings of an app, one opens the "charms bar" and hits the Settings button, which activates a slide out pane in the app.
With ModernMix, while a Metro app is windowed (any state besides full screen metro mode), the Settings pane quickly pops out then disappears.
Having checked that doesn't seem to be happening here.
Which application are you using and how did you open the charms bar?
Also how many monitors do you have and is the charms bar on the same screen as the windowed metro app?
Also are you by any chance using something thats been set to disable the charms bar when at the desktop?
For me this problem does not affect all apps, for the newly released Twitter app the settings pane does not work - it disappears immediately. Lunar Phases is another app where the settings pane does not work for me. It doesn't matter how the Charms bar is opened (through the ModernMix popup or by using the hot corner) and the charms bar isn't disabled.
We have been able to reproduce this with the lunar phases app and will see if we can fix this for the next update. Thanks for letting us know.
