Windows 8 RT?

I don't understand why people haven't learned that with listing Windows 8 support that they need to specify if RT (ARM processors) is a supported version of the OS. With that said, does ModernMix support Windows 8 RT or just Windows 8 on x86?

When we list Windows 8 we mean x86 and x64 support.  Windows RT is a different operating system and it only allows software downloaded via the Windows Store.

Unfortunately Microsoft restrictions in the RT OS prevent us from releasing any of our existing products on that OS as nothing third party is allowed to run on the desktop.  Should Microsoft relax those restrictions we would consider it.  Personally I wish Microsoft had not limited that OS so much as I think we could add value to the OS and help sell the platform, but thats Microsofts decision to make.

I appreciate your response, but when Microsoft themselves in their app store list compatibilities like: "x86, x86, ARM", then I would like to think that other people creating applications for Windows 8 would utilize a similar compatibility listing. Do you know how many applications out there list "Windows 8 support" and include ARM? Quite a few, because they're not differentiating between Windows 8 and Windows 8 RT.

Clearly, it would be productive for StartDock to clarify by saying something like "Windows 8 (x64, x86)"  or "Windows 8 (but not Windows 8 RT)".  Yes, Microsoft's confusing product naming scheme *is* your problem, too.
