The next inXile Kickstarter Project. I´m so excited about this. Planescape: Torment is such an amazing game and now a new Torment game.  \o/

This time its not about "What can change the nature of a man?" This time its about "What does one life matter?"

EDIT/

Funded (900k) in about 6 hours. Crazy!

now THIS is exciting!

Torment Planescape is most certainly within my top 5 games ever played. It's probably my favorite RPG due to it's depth and dynamic. (hence the avatar) XD

Can´t believe the low interest here in the spiritual successor of one of the greatest crpgs ever made....tsss. :)

Oh, my! Between this one and Project Eternity, I am just looking forward for time to go by! Hmmm... Think I will even put something on the kickstarter. Never done it, but hell, it is Torment!

I am pledged.

Glad to see it get made, but not going to pledge anything. Once past the initial funding it's just preordering a product. I'll buy it when it comes out.

PS:T is the best RPG I've ever played. That said, given that the team developing this game is very different, it's worth waiting to see what they do.

...And tying the Kickstarter video to Brian Fargo? The guy who took the PS:T team off PS:T II, when the first game only did moderately well? Then allowed them to be fired on his watch from a second project? Ironic, if nothing else.

You can turn this around. Brain Fargo, without this guy PS: T would not exist.  ;P

Backing or not was  was a simple decision. I would buy this game anyway, so i could give them my money rigth now.

My point wasn't that his company's money should have been thrown aside. ;) It was just as I wrote: that his central appearance in the video for the development of a new game in the PS:T universe (with supposedly a similar feel to the original) is *ironic* since Fargo wasn't involved creatively in PS:T, and stopped the development of its sequel.

Yes, you made that clear previously. And by writing my own reaction above I was not out to contradict you, or state that you're wrong. You're not. I'm only stating that my conclusions are otherwise, and that I"m not wrong, either. Believe it or not, two people holding opposite opinions on something doesn't mean that either is necessarily wrong, nor that the world will collapse into a dwarf star at once. :)

You are absolutly right. But i don´t know why you explain that to me? Did my post sound like i was defending my "point" or attacking you? If so...sry. It wasn´t meant this way.(not a native speaker)

Yeah, it did. And as it appears I misinterpreted you, I apologize. That happens a lot without knowing someone in advance, or without being able to read body language.

Damn the Web for reducing us to focusing only on the tenuous, flimsy thread of words! Damn you, damn you, Web! >:( ;)

Well I am excited for this game, although I am not sure I will support their kickstarter. I am kind of broke at the moment :D

For same reason I didn't support Project Eternity. For both projects I hope I will be in better situation once the time comes to buy them when they are finished :D

Good thing I supported Wasteland 2 and Grim Dawn back when I could afford such things.

BTW, I bought GoG version PST about 6 months ago and played it for 5-6h. For some reason I could not force myself to continue (finished the game once when it was originally released), seems that today I am addicted to better UI and fun battles in RPGs I play. I did buy and play a lot BGEE without such a problem. Hmm..

Thank you, but no apologize needed. :) Not able to read body language is realy a big disadvantage on the internet. I stepped in this "trap" many times over the years and it still happens.

better UI and fun battles

Both are far from good in PS: T. Thats true. Well, its all about the story and what a great and mature story this is. (I finished PS: T last weekend for the first time in 15 years. Have started this game many times over the years, but didn´t finish it for different reasons.) But i hope we get better UI and better battles (if i can´t talk my char. out of it) in T: ToN. But...i´m sure with all the experience of tthe devs. they can manage this.

Now i play BG 1 (modded so i play it "So, are you ready to enhance your GOG.com edition of Baldur's Gate saga and play both games as one, seamless adventure with the visually superior BG2 version of the engine and its updated mechanics, and with high-res graphics better suited for your modern wide-screen display?" https://secure.gog.com/news/enhance_the_gameplay_in_your_edition_of_baldurs_gate_from_gogcom )

The battles and UI are far better in BG. But the battles are damn hard! Especially in BG 1. Love it.

Last hours. I've pledged, not going to repent.  :)

Sure, we don't know what the results will be in this specific case, but this kind of game needs to be resurrected

I'm quite excited for this game, RPGs have been heading down an ugly path for years. While I enjoyed skyrim it wasn't morrowind. I'm hoping another game in my lifetime will give me the same enjoyment.
