Charging $5.00 for a beta?
Really? Be nice if we could try out your product before committing to pay for it. Good luck though on this product, really no interest here, and I run Windows 8.

Hello,
There is s free 30 day trial.
Obviously Bodean is a complete retard and missed the free upgrade to full version when released bit. It's so much better for us who've switched to Win8 with Start8 not to ever have to use the ModernUI menu again!
Of course, your preference on this is as valid as mine, but I wanted to share what helped me accept the absence of the Start button and prefer the new Start screen: When the cursor is placed in the lower left-hand corner, a thumbnail (not sure if there's some special MS-speak for this) of the Start screen appears. That is the Start button. And if you right-click there, a menu much more powerful than in previous versions of Windows appears.
And the Start screen is just the Start menu on steroids.
Mouse-wheeling (or just typing) at the Start screen is faster (and prettier) than navigating all the folders I used to have in my old Start menus.
(If only there was a way to change tile colors to something more compatible with whatever color scheme is being used. And I don't like orange.
Is there an app for that?)
You can tweak your Windows 8 Start menu via this : https://www.stardock.com/products/decor8/

That menu is a nice addition to Win8. Unfortunately, Microsoft totally screwed up that menu--there's no way to run important things like "Computer Management" with elevated privileges! This was built into the right-click menu of "Computer" since XP (or before).
Lack of thought like this is why I ultimately switched to Start8, after trying to use naked Win8 for about 3 months on a traditional desktop. I generally like Win8, and the Start Screen was okay, but ultimately, as a power user, there were too many features missing that I used all of the time. Various right-clicks on the start menu. Recent documents (the little right-arrow next to apps in the start menu). Etc. Etc.
Hopefully, Microsoft will fix these issues going forward (like running Metro apps on the desktop!), but until then, THANK YOU STARDOCK!
