Crashes During Tutorial

Everytime I get to the part in the Turtorial where it says to "explore east while the pioneers are being trained" it crashes. Any thoughts? Anyone else experiencing this?

LMAO good call Adder. Yeah where's all the Steam fanbois now talking about how great Steam is and games are such lovely things from there. lmao.

I'm guessing the real culprit is going to be Nvidia video cards at the highend. I run an ATI RAEDON 5770HD and I've yet to have trouble with my games crashing as such. Having the highest or socalled best is not always the best when it comes to video games. I've read about more issues with high end graphic video cards than I ever had with middle of the road ones like mine. ;)

Probably because high end cards are usually delivered with new drivers the games haven't been tested on. Happened to me too a few times while I was using a high end gaming rig myself. Now with a notebook and a vanilla Intel shared memory graphics adapter everything works perfect so far. B)

But that's probably just because I'm not playing FP shooters, high end simulators or such...

Yeah those shooters and simulators are for epeeners anyways I have no use for shooters or simulators. That's why I always run a mid level video card. I been looking at a 7850 or 7870 though for my next upgrade.

You may want to look at the "How to report and Issue" on the support forum here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/415301
You will find that there are 2 files you can help the developers with sending along so they can bugfix.

Hey thanks guys appreciate all the feedback. I'll try updating my driver, tho it may not help? Ive had the game crash a few times in the regular game as well now :/

Some specific setups are prone for this, sadly, my new machine included :(

Hope your debug.err will help the educated people with wrenches.

They're checking it  out.

One of the upgrades we have done on the game is that whenever there is a crash, it will send us the hardware config (like Windows error reporter) so we can look at the video driver / card combo and see what the deal is. And since we live in the age of digital distribution, we can update the game quickly if there's a workaround.

The challenge is just trying to get the right hardware set up to reproduce it.

Just an update:

We looked at the hardware config of those experience the tutorial hang and were able to reproduce it (requires video card + CPU core combo) inconsistently but were then able to figure out a way to code that part of the tutorial to do it in a different want.  We should have an update out within 48 hours.

In the meantime, for those of you learning the game you can also check out the tutorial I did awhile back:
