It's a stand alone expansion just like AoW: Shadow Magic. You will even be able to install it parallel to the original game.

You had to have been one of the first to buy the game way back when like 2-3 years ago. Before the end of Dec 2010 I think.

For FE yeah... but for LH hopefully those who do not fit above criteria can get their hands on the LH beta somehow... like by pre-ordering or whatever.

A suggestion:

Could you release update 1.3 before the LH beta please? There should be some time for that update to be tested and commented upon, so that the results could also be merged into the LH beta...

Otherwise, what is going to happen is update 1.3 will not get any attention from the player base, as everyone will focus on LH. It's all fine and good for those who are going to convert to LH anyways, but there are players that cannot upgrade to LH.

Looking forward to it!  If I might make a suggestion for the beta process, you might want to look into how you can limit the beta in ways that focus player attention on specific aspects of the game.  (Assuming we're talking about a month or more of beta-ing)

For example, the early betas could have one size map, fixed opponents, no unit design, no custom sovs, no loot drops.  That sort of thing.

You're not assuaging disappointed WoM players anymore, they've got FE and it's a really good game.  So put us(?) beta players to work, not playing the game, but testing the game for you.

I got 1.3 (via Steam) last night. It's not available directly through SD?

The Beta for LH will be starting in about a week and will be available to anyone who pre-orders it or anyone who purchased WOM before November 1, 2010.

Just checked and 1.30 is indeed out now, also in the Stardock store.

Will we be able to pre-order "Legendary Heroes" through Steam? And, if so, will that automatically make us eligible for the beta?

Regardless, I am very much looking forward to it!

I do!  I love having all my games in the same place and easily downloadable from anywhere or to any PC!
