[1.20] Shadow Bolt - No resist intended?

I've been playing a death magic sovereign for a while and noticed that Shadow Bolt doesn't seem to be resisted at all, not even by magic immune creatures. Is that intended?

As far as I know, this is working as intended. Shadow Bolt is meant to reduce the Spell Resistance of the target. If it could be resisted, it would kinda defeat the point.

Doesn't make sense to me.

Neither me.
If I had the ability to create the shadowbolt spell anew with better spell-tools, I would make it make a resist check to deal damage, and then reduce resistance no matter if it was resisted and not...
Also I would change the description, wtf is "a bolt of night"? ^_^

That's doable with the xml we have.

In that case, I'm lazy and stupid... xD
But really, if I mod 1 spell, I would feel terrible without looking at all the other spells and possible changes... I need to make complete packs to feel fuzzy inside.
