Bug ??

In my first "serious" game of FE I managed to capture a city for the first time. Then all my (two) armies in the field disappeared. Just a single archer going to his own business remained. Having started a war, this was not good.

 

In the captured city an enemy caravan remained (this seems strange to me, because it should be captured if it's a non-combat unit, or it should have been destroyed in the battle if it's a combat unit).

 

Anyone has seen a similar bug ??

 

(EDIT: the army who captured the city was one of the two disappearing armies)

That caravans and sometimes pioneers are left over when conquering a civilization is known.

I never had armies disappear.

You might want to post a save game.

you might have been hit by tornado or similar spell, though thye need to be cast on your own territory.

Might be a bug. Post a save. prefereably prior to the armies disapearance

With the greatest shame #:( I have to admit I can't find the save game folder in my steam folders.....

Check to see if the armies are occupying the captured city.

The saves are not in your steam folder. You can find them under User Name\My Documents\My Games\FallenEnchantress\Saves.

I checked Gildenshard (I'm assuming that's the one you captured) and found a whole bunch of units.  Bruno, Ruah, Panca Archers, Grave Elemental, Bound Widow, Bound Widow, Diruna, Warrior, and Young Burning Wraith.  

I can also select the caravan that seems to be passing through by clicking the mid-left tile.  If you click on it and then click on it again, it will select the city and you can see the units.  

If I had to guess what you're experiencing, you're either just clicking on the Caravan and assuming that's all there is, or you don't realize that the attacking army is now stationed in that city, and you'll have to bring them out manually.  If you select the city and then hit the V key, it will automatically eject all your units from the city.
