Can you guys add an anchor option? (Don't move, but still attack.)

I pretty much always play TEC Loyalists because I very much enjoy long games and defense.  I don't play competitively because of this, usually just computer games with friends...

Anyways, defenses are clearly pretty important to TEC Loyalist and I want to keep my fleets among them... But my options are turn attack off so they sit there and do nothing, but stay still; or turn attack on and let them automatically drive out away from defenses and probably die in the process.  This isn't so much a problem early game as I can direct my fleets personally since I am only in a few systems.  But later in games when I have systems all over and multiple fleets everywhere.  I can't/don't want to focus on every battle, especially if I am doing something offensive and being attacked at the same time.

So yeah... Right next to auto-attack on and off can you guys just throw in an "Anchor Mode" or "Defensive Mode" or whatever you want to call it.  Just something that makes my fleet sit still, yet still open fire on enemies when they come within range?

Thanks!

There is a range setting in the tactics/fleet management interface that I think controls what you want. There are three engagement ranges "Gravity Well" (default) "Local Area" (will move around a bit to attack nearby enemies) and a third one I don't remember the name of but it prevents your ships from moving but they will still attack anything in range. I think if you set your fleet to the third option you'll get what you want.
