DesktopX Builder

Startup

I am returning to Desktopx and have begun using it again.  Right now I am modifying a DesktopX Theme to suit my own personal computer setup.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

Overall things are working but I can't get DesktopX to default start in Builder Mode.  I have used the Configure DesktopX Builder menu and set the toggle to load DesktopX on startup but that fails now.

I have for now created a shortcut to the DesktopX Theme file I want to run and placed it in the StartUp folder.

Is there another way to do what I want?

Is the autostart function in DesktopX not working in Windows ?  If so, will that be fixed?

:D

As always having fun with customization with Stardock products.  Any advice would be appreciated.

BDBF, I am running the DesktopX Pro 4 beta, which is actually 3.96.

It has no distinction between builder mode and regular. And it does start with windows by enabling it in config.

Trick is, I find, that if you have DX running when you shut down, it'll be running when you start up. The reverse is also true.

If you have a builder mode, then you're not using the latest version.

Back when I had your version, there was a setting to make builder mode the default.
