A Very Cool Place

This has been "one of those days". I got ready to roll this morning and the amber beacons I have to use when pulling over-size blew a fuse. Had to wait for road service to come and repair the problem. At that point it was too late to go anywhere.

I had ripped a few DVDs and was in the process of renaming some of the files. Somehow while renaming one of them I accidentally selected ALL of the movie files and they all wound up with the same name. ARGH!

Late this afternoon I decided t take a cab down to a local watering hole, I showered and changed clothes, but somehow left my keys in the truck when I got out. Ack! Locked out. I debated trying to break in but decided that would just make me madder so I went ahead to the bar. I would deal with it later.

I am now sitting in the bar, listening to a very good blues band, drinking beer, and relaxing. The whole breaking into the truck thing is still on my mind, but at least I'll be in a better mood when I have to deal with it.

Well there is frustrating and then there is real frustration ... this is a very real one which most have unfortunately experienced too. Let us know how long it takes to resolve this fiasco hahaha.

Actually I had it fixed after a couple of hours. I just started playing each one, identified it, and renamed the file.

Stash? Of what? If you mean what I think, I

gave that up years ago.

I am sure he meant a 'legal' backup copy ... your stash or lack of one is an unmentionable (in public). Surprised it went so fast. Last time it happened to me was when I was renaming pictures (DCA-001 etc.) and was about finished when I accidently renamed them all with the same name (whatever-001 etc.). I could at least just look at them and just do it over. Too bad there were about 200 of them though, ugh. Hope you got back on the road safely.

PS - Got me too D ... I was just following, I mean not thinking hahaha.

Got it. It was only about 100 or so movies, mostly my own DVD rips. I am pretty efficient about going through and identifying them so yeah, about an hour or so.

At the rate of remakes and rehashing movies that Hollywood is doing these days, maybe it was just your OS getting too smart for its pants?
