WindowBlinds for Windows 8

WindowBlinds for Windows 8

Come on, it's been months now!

When will we get WindowBlinds for Windows 8? Windows 8 has been released for a couple of months now.

Not only WindowBlinds, how about other software in the Object Desktop for which I paid and can not use?!

Many of us have paid a yearly subscription and for those of us who 'upgraded' to Windows 8 upon release, and those who had the beta versions for longer, we have not been getting our money's worth!

Please please please Stardock, get WindowBlinds and other Object Desktop software working in Windows 8.

Woo!  We're one day closer to the release of WindowBlinds 8!

In unrelated news, I saw a unicorn today.

Ok, its now past Q1 2013 and no word on Windows Blinds for Window 8. I have purchased this product for 2 reasons 1. get the start button back 2. change the windows form background color from the blinding white which huts my eyes.  Can we at lease get another ETA? (ESTIMATE or an update?) The only way to get rid of the white is to use High Contrast Mode which has color change abilities but is very limited. I so pissed and Microsoft just another case of believing the marketing people and not testing first. Truth is in the details and without test driving first never purchase software on a sales mans word.

1. get the start button back
Use Start 8 for that. LINK

It does a great job bringing the menu and button back and the price is more than reasonable.

Okay, I'll do the proper beta tester thing and report a minor problem or glitch in an interaction with Object Dock and the Task Bar. This is probably an odd situation so bear with me--

- Two monitor set up

- ObjectDock is set to hide the Task Bar.

- However, my system was set to show the Task Bar on both monitors, the result being that on my secondary monitor, if I moused over the bottom of the screen, the Task Bar would pop-up.

- After installing WindowBlinds 8 (thank you SO much for this, by the way, I've been waiting a long time for it and am very happy), I noticed that whenever I made any changes to a WB8 skin configuration, even before I committed any changes, the secondary monitor's Task Bar would bounce into view several times with an odd flickering, before finally settling down and disappearing again.

Unchecking the Windows option to 'display task bar on all monitors' eliminated the problem.

Sadly the beta works not so good for me.

I choose a skin, and when I press apply my screen starts blinking constantly like it's trying to apply the skin but never fully doing it. Just keeps blinking.

Eventually it will stop blinking but the skin is not applied properly. Windows borders look likes Classic style, and the taskbar simply remains the same.

I'm having an identical issue.  I'm not able to pin it down either.  Very sad :(

We need to know the OS you are using, 32 or 64 bit.

We need to know the skin you are using.

We need you to copy and paste the information from the WB about.

Thanks.
