Do Starbase bonuses help Economic planetary improvements?

Question:  Do starbase bonuses help economic improvements on the planet in their radius the same way they boost production and research?  If I have an all stock market world, does a maxed out starbase next to it boost its output?  I'm asking because I have recently read a few posts that seem to say the bonuses only apply to production and research.

Yeah that's right, it only helps with production and research.

The only module that helps you gain money is the "trade" variety, which only has an effect on your freighters while they are in its "circle". This module is generally not very cost effective.

Are the modules designated for production or research? Are there separate modules for each?  Does an Orbital Replicator add 10% to both production/manufacturing and research?  If not, what do we add to boost research?
