[MOD] SOASE Rebellion - SW Alliance - Released

This will be my version from the Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption Alliance mods for the game Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion. The mod will add most of the space units from my other mods and probably more from other era. 

This mod will be release to the public by stages, the first stage will add the Empire and Rebel Alliance. Next stages will add the rest.

This was my first question about SOASE at this forum. I have saved it because perhaps you found it interesting.

Hi, I was trying add a new model to the game following the iron clad documentation about it and when I was picking the texture_proyection1 for the tangent, I received this message from the program. 

 

I´m not very familiarized with the program because I have edited most of models from my mod with 3Dmax 8. At this case, I exported at 3dmax to obj a model with its own uv and I wanted add all the rest of the stuff at softimage.

Today I will not publish nothing by the moment but.....I´m working in the Death Star as a Titan and I want make it with mesh upgrades, at first place it will be the death star prototipe and you will be able upgrade it to the death star 1 and death star 2. With a few of lucky I will finish it soon.

Bad news. I have working at this but I do not see how it is possible. I go to write all the points:

-A Titan or capital ship does not works with the mesh upgrades.

-I do not know if I can add more of one starbase.

-A starbase can not bomb.

These are the main problems. Other options will be appreciated. Only remember how I made the mini death star as the  starbase from the empire.

At the end I could finish the work. The key was how I could make a unit with mesh upgrades, the starbase was not the solution, it was the phase colony frigate, it could make the upgrades without problems. 

The first screenshots were taken with lower detail and this is the reason because they look worse. About the size of the death star, the prototipe and death star I are more similar, but the DSI is bigger, the DSII is a lot bigger than the DSI. I was worried about it because I did not know how it would look and if there was other problems. But now it is fun.;)

You can give a faction more than 1 type of starbase, and while it can't bomb directly, you can give it an ability like the Advent's starbase that will damage the planet, which is probably how you'll let up the superlaser anyways.  ;)

StrippedToTheCore is a 'scuttle the planet' and from other threads and posts it can NOT be done as an ability.

Yeah well I was thinking at it but I want see the StrippedToTheCore at active and I do not know how use/activate it. About the DS I have many ideas and I have not dug more of the 1% from the game.

You must research it and abandon (scuttle) a planet. That is the only way. There is no way to tie it towards any entity.

About the stripped to core, I feel that the key would be if it can be used the destroying effect with another bombardement weapon or some similar.

Many type of exceptions, I have not saved them in my brain. At the end, my way is similar and it accepts the bombarment. Only I would like make a weapon upgrade. It was one of the things which it did not run making the DS as a starbase.

Really should learn how to use the Convert Data though, if you ever release this thing you'll want to convert them back to BIN format for performance, and sometimes looking at how other mods are done by converting them to TXT is helpful.

Thanks. It is not a matter about if I know how edit it. The last time that I tried convert the code, I had a few problems with the converter.

Just another question. Are the forbiden worlds code included in the 1.5 files? I have bought the update if you want know, yesterday but I have not tested it too much.

Yes, all DLC files are in the normal file set, they are accessed by a code in the file.

Some files were not convertable but that should now be fixed.

Thanks to the new files and the thread about the changes at 1.5, I could update my mod files, it was not too long and I depurated them deleting the non-edited files and making them better for futures upgrades. Now I go to continue adding the new icons and images, it goes to take some of time.
