Thanks for a great game

Well, basicially I would just like to say thanks to Ironclad Games for the continuation of the Sin's series. Rebellion is one of the most awesome games I have played in a long time. Even if you don't read it, I still wanted to show my appriciation.

I love the fact that the game runs so smooth, is so easy to manage and still fun to play, even if some of the space battles often lacks a bit of strategy to them.

I got bored with the original sins after playing it for 20 hours or so, but the continuation of additions really spice things up.

I hope you guys will add some more planet tech at some point though, like missile batteries, planet shielding (I know you can research and build it in orbit - but think starwars) etc. so you can customize planets even more.

Also, consider giving some of the cap ships an ability to fleet jump in at a specific point in the neightbouring sector- this would open up for "sniping" certain buildings... would be fun. I hope it makes sense :) (the idear is from the Star Wars - Thrawn Triology - where stardestroyers hyperspace jumps very close to some defense platforms and takes em out, and then jumps away).

Could be prevented by the jump inhibitors.

Keep up the good work  <3

That sounds like fun ideas :) And yeah, Trinity I played for about 50 hours max total in 1 year, and then got bored and it's gathering dust now. With rebellion I got really exited and it's a lot of fun! Already got 390 hours of gameplay and don't see myself quitting anytime soon :D Great job guys ;)

Yes, Sins is a very great game:

What I love most about Sins:

  • Epic scale
  • Cool Sci Fi Battles
  • Awesome panorama.... hide the interface and watch stars and planets..... it looks awesome and the background alone is fantastic..... they really did a great job in bringing in the beauty of space and its vastness.
  • Considerable different factions
  • Humourous unit quotes.... "I put the laughter in slaughter".... "This is how space junk is born!" to name a few
  • Pirate voices.... seriously... they are hilarious.
  • Nice FTL effect.... the phase jumps look cool.... especially the interstellar ones. I was very happy to see that with Rebellion every faction got its own phase jump effect. Even cooler that it gets a lila touch when jumping interstellar distances.
TEC: Rugged, disturbed jump.... clearly a sign of their lowtech.
Advent: Clean and brightly illuminated..... just perfect
Vasari: Looks considerable different from both TEC and Advent, clearly showing the highly superiority of the Vasari in this area. I personally dont like the colour choices that much though.

  • Developers supporting their game for a long time..... quite a rarity today.

  • No/Not so invasive DRM (Trinity/Rebellion). I am still pissed about forcing Steam. Still, compared to what some other companies do Stardock DRM is holy.

Now... once you finished up your other projects, get working on Sins 2. |-)

(And make sure it has multi core support and 64 Bit.... unless you want 5000 angry fans storming your headquarter to personally "motivate" you to correct that error^^) ;P
