If you get harassing blocked phone calls or anonymous emails, do you call the FBI?  And would they do anything but politely tell you to go pound sand?

To me, the strangest part of the Petraeus business is how the FBI got involved in the first place.  Supposedly, if the story is to be believed, a private citizen who claimed not to know what the anonymous hostile emails were about managed to persuade the FBI to go looking for the source.  Nothing I've read indicates she (Kelley) or the FBI had any inkling that national security or federal law breaking was involved.  Yet the FBI agreed to conduct an investigation of what they acknowledge were 'non-threatening' emails?

WTF?

Raises all kinds of questions about the relationship between Kelley and the agent she roped into doing her bidding.  I'm willing to believe she was innocent of motive, but the FBI just doesn't do 'casual'.  Either Kelley & the FBI are lying and they knew this was about Petraeus from the gitgo or the field agent who agreed to take this on has some 'splainin' to do.

Now Kelley was the recipient of '20,000 to 30,000' messages from the Af-Pac 4-star?  Criminy.

Two things:

Kelley's dumber than a box of rocks for asking the FBI to look through her emails.

Running a war must not take up much time these days.

We have been inundated with calls as of late but the FBI, no way (E-mails are just a no brainer?). I realized it had been five years since we opted out on advertising and pitching phone calls and sure enough there is expiration at five years. So my Husband called and put us back on that list ... and there has already been a marked reduction in calls.

If, and it's a big if, this whole business wasn't orchestrated to manipulate Petraeus, he and Allen should never have been put in charge of a lemonade stand, let alone a war.  Whether knowing actors in this soap opera or manipulated dupes, neither should spend another day with government or military responsibilities of any kind.

I keep waiting for the real story to come out.  Everything so far seems more like dancing around something.  What the heck is going on?? 

It's like a puzzle, and we're getting slap shot pieces here and there, but the meat, the bulk of the puzzle is kept undercover.

We are never going to run out of ideas to replace ‘As the World Turns’ etc. Our government is one big ‘Payton Place’ and they do not seem to care how this plays out either. How many more golden parachutes can we afford or more to the point do they all have them already? Lot of info in this report thanks myfist0.
