Nice pic Brad.  But don't you find some of the colors in the included wallpaper hard to match your mood?  I used to on Win8 . . but not as much anymore.

Just for clarification for members/customers:

Will Deskscapes 8 (which looks absolutely brilliant  ) work on Windows 7?

Will new/additional drivers/codecs be needed?

Yes it will work on Windows 7 though it is now called DeskScapes 8 not 4.

On Windows 8 if you want to play MPEG2 based dreams you would need a codec (Part of the Windows 8 Pro Media pack - free right now for Win8 Pro owners, $9.99 from Friday on, but again only for Win8 Pro not non Pro), but for the other dreams everything works as before.  Windows 7 has a MPEG2 codec so those will work too.

No new drivers should be needed.

a little off-topic trivia for those interested in "skinning history":

this Windows 8 default wallpaper was done by Marius Bauer aka Imrik from customize.org. you can see how the sun looks pretty much like the sun he did for the GAIA 10 Rainmeter weather skin.

a little more info on his blog: http://mariusbauer.com/behance/5735155

when Deskscapes, WB, CFX, and OD are all updated for Windows 8, i'll gladly renew my ODNT and WC subscriptions.

and no, CFX doesn't work as it should on W8, the ctrl-shift-c work-around doesn't suffice :)

If you are talking about the start screen, uninstall, download the latest and install it.

I have CFX installed on windows 8 and I don't have to ctrl-shift-c. Do you have the newest version installed?
