Minor things (tweaks) that would have been nice in TOA

After playing Twilight again quite a bit over the last few weeks, here is a list of things that I think could have made it a little better.  Mind you the purpose of this was not to list the major or big things that I think it was missing but just little things that would have been nice if the update that Frog wrote about before his (sabbatical) that I hear never took place because of all the hard work he does.  I doubt any of this will ever happen but it would be nice.  In no way is this negative as I feel all the work Stardock does is great :).  Now most of these probably have mods avail or could have mods avail for but being I play Metaverse games 99% of the time those don't help.

1.  Having the ability with custom races to create a home world.  Example right now by default you get the terrain home star system.  You can modify the other races to customize them and get their home worlds but it would have been nice to say get 16 planet quality points that you could spread around the system as you choose.

2.  Make the cost of star base construction go down in larger galaxies depending on the number.  I find myself using the military star base quite a bit in tiny maps but very little in immense maps partially because of the cost involved.

3.  Have the ability to adjust the auto survey on your ships.  Example tell your ship not to leave your influence bubble or not to auto explore wormholes.

4.  Have the ability to adjust the auto build with your space miners.  I find this annoying as you start to research the space mining techs, the space miners keep only upgrading to the first level until they can find no more asteroids.  It would be nice for them to look for the closest ones not upgraded or at least have that as an option.

5.  More race pictures and logos.

6.  More mega events.

I'm sure there is more...

My list goes like so:

1: The ability to save planetary governors for reuse in other games.

2: The ability to put building types, instead of specific buildings for planetary governors. (IE research buildings in general instead of Xeno Research Lab in particular.)

3: W or another explore command that goes to random locations rather than trying to explore the map.  (The explore algorithm sucks and once all areas are explored is worse.)

4: The option to turn off range scaling for larger universes.  I know if you have a large map with few planets it would be difficult.  That is fine.  Star bases!  Since I normally play with crowded galaxies, I almost never research range techs.

5: The option to turn research amounts required up to eleven. (IE an option to go from the current slowest to 5X or 10X as much research required.)

6: Alternate planetary happiness formula.  Right now I don't ever research better farming technologies and I don't ever build farms on 300% bonus tiles.  The planets cannot be kept happy.  I understand this change was made to keep from having planets with 80 billion populations, but it would be better to limit farm facilities to 1 per planet instead.  Or that every so many billions of persons need another city tile or something.  Or even just who cares if you have 80 billion on a planet.

My 2 cents.
