Serial from SDCentral / Download from GameStop?

New laptop, still have a serial, but no installer

Hi All,

I used to have GC2 with Dark Avatar installed on my old XP laptop.  I wiped that laptop and gave it to the in-laws a while back, as I had a nice shiny new Win7 one.

I'd like to install GalCiv2 on my new laptop.  I still have the serial, and the download link for the SDCentral client, but that fails to download GC2 (14 The Url is invalid).

So, I followed a newer link to download "Impulse".  Which redirects to some GameStop app installer.

So I install the GameStop app.  I don't have a GameStop account, and if I want to create one in the GameStop app, I am told it will wipe any games I have already bought.  Which doesn't sound like what I want to happen.  I guess GameStop have no way of knowing that I already have a paid serial for GalCiv2 (Gold), so they're unlikely to provide a download for me anyway.

How can I download the installer?  And why has it been removed from SDCentral?

Hello,


Due to Impulse now being owned and operated by Gamestop, you will need to contact [email protected] for Impulse issues.

They should have a record of your GalCiv 2: Gold order.

I sent them an email like you suggested.  No response yet, but they did say to wait "24 business hours".

Did you get a reply? Many people, myself included, are having the exact same issue. There are many posts on the GameStop forums stating the same issue. Thanks.
