How to get the Start menu back in Windows 8

If you have Windows 8 and want the Start menu back, the single best way is to use Start8.

Currently I 'only' have Win8 on a VM.... [with start8, naturally] but the 'plan' is to go native on the laptop with 8 ..... but ONLY because there's a Start8 ....
