v2 quit working

Been using V2 for a few weeks now and have been very happy with it - was using Multiplicity Pro previously.  Turned both PC's off this evening for a few hours and when I came home and powered them up Multiplicity v2 would not start.  Tons of errors in my Windows logs about the service and I could not manually start it - would receive an error - I don't recall the exact number - I think it was 1067 perhaps.

Tried reinstalling a couple of times to no avail.  Finally removed and put Multiplicity Pro back in place and it's working just fine.  Not sure what could've changed.

I wonder if that's related to my issue.  M2 starts fine on my primary machine (Win8) but on my secondary machines (win7 and XP), it won't run at all.

I didn't check my secondary machine (both are Win7 64bit) - since I couldn't get it working on the primary I removed it and put Pro back on and then connected a KB and Mouse to the secondary and removed v2 and put Pro back on there.  Something must've changed, but I honestly have no idea as to what. :(

From memory there was a October expiry on the Beta, maybe that wasn't removed. I rolled back both computers to yesterday to restart the Stardock Multiplicity service, and it is running fine. >_>

Okay, both of my machines that aren't working (the win7 and XP) had the Beta installed, although I fully uninstalled the beta and installed the 'official' release (not just an 'upgrade' install) as soon as M2 was out of beta.  The Win8 machine that's working fine was a fresh install of Win8 and a fresh install of M2 (no beta install, in other words).

This is beginning to look like the culprit.

Hi

I have the same problem multiplicity 2 stopped as of today.  I have not had the beta installed and the software is registered.

Howdy,

Yep same for me. Came home and suddenly Multv2 had stopped working. Win7 64bit windows. Was working great until I got home from work today.

I have 3 pc's all of which dual boot windows 7 and 8.

On the primary machine in both windows 7 and 8 M2 has stopped working. In trying to get it to work I found that in my programs and features list I had both M2 v1.8 and v2.0 listed. Uninstalled both, deleted registry keys for M2 and re-installed but it still won't run.

On my secondary machines the M2 service is running again in both windows 7 and 8 so the issue seems to be when trying to run on the primary machine.
