Metacritics - User Score of 8 and going down ?

It´s not to piss on your door stardock, but it seems there is an outside world - outside of the beta testing and developer´s one - and it seems that the game is heading for 70´s user score on meta critics, which is not a good sign. Some of the not so favorable comments on the "M" side where part of the discussions in the beta (esp. early on).

Hope the professional critics are nicer to you.

I am a fanboy of stardock

I want the game to succeed financially because I think there's enough of a foundation here for some exceptional mods and expansions, even if the current game does have its share of flaws. More players = bigger community = more modders = higher demand for mods and a larger pool of feedback and available testers for the various mods.

The Fanbois can never accept the truth anyways macattac. You can show them all the facts in the world why the game isn't very good and they just won't see it or listen. Facts about unable to launch, crashing, video breaking etc. etc. just go over their heads. But, it really doesn't matter what THEY think the truth will be in the SALES of the product whether it's a failure or success. With review scores like these coming out and the scores dropping so quickly I highly doubt the sales are going to be what is expected.

Dude, I bet you work for Romney.

It's probably pointless to say this to a troll, but give Stardock and modders three months to patch the major problems and release some good mods and this game will be golden.

Just so you guys are expecting it, it would not surprise me in the least if Fallen Enchantress got trolled pretty hard at Metacritic by folks still bitter about War of Magic and have a grudge against Stardock.  Even the mighty Blizzard is not immune from such trolling -- check out Metacritic's Diablo 3 user score, and it's one of the better games to be released this year.

Oh, yeah, and Romney is going to win in a landslide.  Just so you're expecting that, too. ;)

I don't think the people who would be bitter about E:FE are the original Elemental purchasers, since they got a heavily updated and fixed game for free.

Now, if there were people who would be bitter and attack the game without providing *legitimate* criticism of the game, it would have to be the white knight to the rescue of a helpless damsel crowd. There's a lot of angry peeps out there who got it in their mind that Brad W. has a harem of chick slaves under lock and key at his evil, evil giant corporation. And they are the type who would go out of there way to discredit and slime anything associated with Brad W. in any way or forum, since hey, that's what white knights do: SLAY THE DRAGON!
