I like that they called us "scrappy".

"Gameplay is intuitive, adaptive, highly customizable and most importantly — fun."

Nice and well deserved!

Great job!  I have not had a chance to play FE yet, but I have been following the threads since the beginning of FE and I can't wait to finally dig in later tonight.   On a side note, reading what I have, I have not wanted to dig into (an) Elemental (game) this much since I saw the first early screenshots - back when the originally was little more than a prototype. :)

Thanks again for following through with the tough challenges and never giving up!

Woot! Woot!

I'm winning that metacritic score pool thread thingy!

However, knowing that additional content, quests, stamps, and props are all being included with 1.0 (and that doesn't even touch the campaign and workshop), I would say that....if these small balance issues are taken care of, FE is in for a solid 87.

shooting for 100. It's like a test. Like from back in highschool. ;)

After an expansion pack or two this game will get 100 in score and legend status. :D

Looking at the glowing review written in the text, 87 even seems low.

Yeah, the score value is just a number, what counts is what's in the text. This is a warm recommendation for strategy and fantasy/RPG-lovers to get the game, and they should, they all should. :)

Its awesome so far, I agree with the review. Anywhere from a 80-90 for me so far :andrew:

87 is a very respectable score.  I think a perfect score of 100 should be very difficult to achieve.

I think Civ V scored way too high at launch at a number of sites ... personally, I do not think it was that much better than the disastrous E:WoM, certainly not sufficiently better to warrant the gleaming points disparity between Civ V and War of Magic on, say, gamespot.

When Tom Chick speaks I will listen. When Gamespot.com speaks I will listen. When PCgamerUK speaks I will listen. When Metacritic has 10 professional review scores I will listen (barring I know who they are). When 1000 gamers have posted their review scores on Metacritic I will listen. Until then this Ogre site could just be a Stardock offsite and you guys are sooooooooo gullible to believe it. ;)

87 thats impressive. Very impressive!

BTW stardock would not fix a review and tom chick likes this game so there.

The game is good, I put 8 hours on it in a 24 hour period. I played Civ 5 twice for 20 minutes total if that says anything.

Tom Chick?  That would be the guy who thought Sid Meier's Railroads! was a fantastic experience, correct?

All I'm saying is that game reviewers should be taken with a heavy dose of salt, even when they're experienced and knowledgeable.  I think the first way to get to know a game is to watch it being played on Youtube with the sound turned down, so you don't have to listen to somebody with the speaking skills of a cow bell laugh at their own jokes.  And the second is to look at the forums, and see what the more sensible, mature posters are praising and criticizing.

Just my take, mind you.

nvm, someone beat me to it.

I'm writing a review for this game on a site and so far my score is around there. Need more time with it though.

pity Frogboy only cares about reviews and not customer service
