This game is a beautiful work of art

Tears of nostalgia practically swell in my eyes as I sit here reading the recently released manual.  With the love and attention to detail that just oozes out of every nook and cranny in this game Stardock has placed themselves amongst the greats in my heart.  The most important ingredient for an amazing game is it's players, and you folks deserve nothing less than an honorable mention in the history books for your devotion to this wisdom.  A video game hasn't felt this much like the product of organic human creativity, and even more importantly, fostered it, in far too long.  I want to keep this brief - Thank you team Stardock, from the bottom of my heart.  For every one of your sleepless nights, and the caffeine withdrawals that await; for every dragon I have yet to design, and die by: I stand and applaud you.

If anyone has any similar sentiments I urge them to create their own thread.  Let's litter these forums with support!

If I wasn't listening to the presidential debate at the moment I would feel your whole "Hope and Change" thing.

It is a great game, but I don't feel a tingle up my leg.

To Stardock!!!

"an honorable mention in the history books for your devotion to this wisdom."

I don't want us to seem like fanboys. Even though we totally are.

sean,

Can you fulfill my Lazy Zombie request?  I know you'll be up for a couple more hours.

There are many ways to express support, and we all want to provide that, but thread spamming isn't one of them.

You don't have to be a fanboy to appreciate this game.

Are you still planning on splitting up your mod into pieces by the way?  I've been putting it off until after release, but am looking forward to trying them out.

I wouldn't classify well thought out praise for an amazing job as spam, but rather good marketing. ;)

Only it isn't good marketing to spam this forum with threads expressing support, or as you put it:

Preaching to the converted isn't marketing, and littering a forum with threads isn't helpful.  If you like the game, explain why in other venues, where your enthusiasm for a game people don't know will set you apart. ;)

If this were my site, not only would I want to read lots of well thought out praise and reviews for my work, I wouldn't mind my prospective customers being able to do so as well.  As somebody who plans on doing a bit of modding, I also have an interest in increasing the size of our community.  Whatever, people know what "cardinaldirection" thinks.

Oh I am.

The best marketing is word of mouth and it's going to be a longer time before we see floods of people in the forums. Maybe the best thing to do is make lots of videos of gameplay and post them on youtube. That never hurts.

It'll be word of mouth that makes or breaks this game.

Anyone who likes the game might want to spread the word. I remember that being something that made Sins of a Solar Empire a success back in the day. People would post about it on forums and give their honest experiences with it.
