Fallen Enchantress Manual

The manual is linked below.  Thanks to everyone who worked on putting it together an making it look great.  Especially Toby Sarnelle, Kathleen Lane, Brian Clair, Leo Li and Nicole Gambrell.

Enjoy,

Derek

Who is "Cervo"?  Doesn't ring a bell.  I recognize all the other forum people thanked(and they deserve it), but that ones doesn't ring a bell.

Big Kudos for an actual Manual designed by the developers of a game worthy of the name and the time reading. Sorely missed from many an otherwise splendid 4x recently...

Very nice manual. Too bad i cannot print it (printer broken) (and for printing i'd prefer text (and example images only version).

Definetly need to read it more carefully before actually playing. I didn't really play the beta so i don't really know how to play. Or more specifically, details about stuff. Partially because the beta didn't have a manual.

It renders slighty faster, too, though still not fast enough for my liking.

Yea my old computer is bothered by this too, I want a poormans version of the manual now ^_^

Derek (or Brian?) did the thank you section so I couldn't tell ya...

For all the people asking for a more responsive version, I'll see about getting a lower res 'lite' version up tomorrow along-side the normal one

I'll put my hat in with the request for a pad, kindle friendly version so I can curl up in bed with it and enjoy drinking in the old school nature of it.

Probably went to far there, sorry people.

I hope the manual keeps up with patches, dlc, expansions where relevant, I hate it when I buy a game a few months after release only to discover that some of the manual is pretty much worthless as the info is out of date (paradox being a case in point).

Just imagine if Stardock were the very, very first to produce a kindle manual.

It would take the gaming world by storm.  Even Mr president of America would have to stand up and take notice.

Tattyhay, completely agree with you.  I wholeheartedly believe that pad/kindle version of the manual would increase sales by a factor of a gazillion.

Also do you plan on anything like the sins rebellion collectors pack for Fallen Enchantress if sales go well?

I wonder if Cervo is suppose to be Cervomix.  I think Cervomix was the guy who created a fan site for Elemental.

I too would love to have a Kindle version of the manual.  But now that I think of it, can't you e-mail PDFs to your Kindle?  Haven't tried it myself, but I'm pretty sure there's a way to do it...

Calabre can convert pdf's and put them on your kindle but the conversion is flipping awful.

Oh, dunno. That was all Derek.  We have an optimized version in-house. I'll get it posted for folks.

And here it is, we tried making a 'kindle' specific version but it did not come out well... this 'slim' version seems to look and function well on tablets (and slower computers).

Thanks for trying.  I will pop the slim version through calibre and see what I can get.

UPDATE: If you run it through Calibre pdf to mobi, and use the remove images option it come out quite good.

I'm glad you guys like it! I'm currently working on a couple more fun/old school surprises for you... hope you enjoy them as much as you do the manual

Please tell me that one of them is a copy protection wheel. In order to launch the game, you'll need to turn the wheel to find the right code. Ahh... so much of my childhood was spent fumbling through copy protection wheels. ;)

Is the manual available on the regular FE website? It'd be nice to see it there, too, if it's not already.

it is not currently, but now that you've reminded me I will hound marketing to get it up there tomorrow :D

and it's not a copy protection wheel, although those were badass.

3D printers are a thing. Many are easily sufficient for figurines.
