I didn't see this posted anywhere else.... has anyone else had one or more players AI just sort of stop??? I'm currently playing a 6 player FFA, one of each race, all on cruel, and about 15 minutes into the game the TEC and Advent Loyalists stopped doing anything. It's been over an hour now and nothing..... weirdest thing.
Not sure if it's a bug or what.....
Someone posted a similar issue...Yarlen requested any and all saves that have this issue...please send them...
Maybe the AI became self aware and realized the futility of playing against other races with moving starbases?

If the AI became sef-aware, I would have a long conversation with it to distract it while figuring out a way to kill it if it became... unruly. And escaped the game, or something.
This is an issue going back a long time to Entrenchment. Even with "feeder" research items leading to ships, the Ai -as researcher- will stop researching and just pump out ships.
Think about it: What if you were a program, and you suddenly became a fully sentient being, but with no experiences other than that which was programed into you. If a knowledgable sentient being came from a world outside of your own and told you what you were and what this place is, you would see this person as your lifeline, your one source of information other than the 1s and 0s that came with the game. You would be enthralled.

As for the other replies about the AI becoming self aware... I'm not so concerned about SINS... but I also play Sims2 a lot.... that's the one that scares me... Talk about playing God in your own little personal parallel universe....
What if all of this we perceive as reality is just a giant cosmic Sims game????
