[.983][Balance]Dark Wizard (level 10) shows as Weak.

This affects where and how often it spawns (i assume) and how the AI interacts with it.  And how many unsuspecting players will walk into one.

These guys should be classified at least as Medium, unless the Weak rating is part of their magic (which would be awesome!)

Yea he is pretty tough.  I think he needs to be reclassified.  Despair is pretty brutal.

Yea, and he dodges like a mother fucker too.  He's a scary little dude.  Saw one that was level 20 and he and his army was listed as strong, when it probably should have been epic.  He killed most of my troops and champions, I think he was able to get two despairs off that fight, I still managed to win, but took heavier losses to him than any other monster, including dragons.

And if you autoresolve no one casts magic.  Weak.  Therein lies the problem.

Yea, you alway should autoresolve against a dark wizard.  Don't invade Russia in winter and autoresolve dark wizards, those are the truest statements in war history.

Maybe it's because Despair is not an actual "spell", it's an ability, it's being overlooked.

So the two truest principles of war are: Don't invade Russia in winter, autoresolve dark wizards, and don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

No, that's three.  Yes, the three main things to remember about war are: Don't invade Russia in winter, autoresolve dark wizards, don't bring a knife to a gunfight. and never fight a land war in Asia!

Argh, that's four!

Yea if its on purpose then that is kinda awsome...

I know I've walked into then a couple times... latest with a "deadly" army with 400hp... on the stats I should have kicked his butt.

I lasted 2 turns.

Five.  And don't let them tell you Darkling shaman, or wizard, or guy with a fishing pole or anything else is Weak if he can cast Coal Stones.

Glad to see this is getting mentioned on the forums, he destroyed me too, and was right in the middle of the only expansion site my starting city had (I was kind of on a peninsula...).  So it was pretty annoying.  He's so hard to hit because you have to beat his magic resist every swing to beat fear.

The line between ability and spell is so blurred nowadays.  Despair appears in CoreSpells.xml .
