Where Do You Put The Rebellion Reference Files?

I've just downloaded the Rebellion reference files that Harpo kindly created and uploaded, but I can't find where to put them. I know how to make small text mods for the other expansions, but I can't find any reference to where the Rebellion files are located on my computer. It's like the game isn't actually installed.

I play it through Steam if that makes a difference. All that I can find are a few folders with icons, logs, or uninstallers. But no Rebellion game files. And I definitely can't find the Rebellion mods folder. Anyone know what i'm supposed to do with the files?

Thanks in advance all. :D

Should look something like
C:\Users\myfist0\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.04 Dev\Sacrifice of Angels 2 -REB

Change my user name with your user name

EDIT: I hear there is 2 folder to use. The "Dev" for running in Dev mode and another folder for your release that loads when not using dev.exes

There should be a show mod path button in the enabling mods game menu.

I've got a My Games folder, but there is no Ironclad Games folder there. The only folders I have there are Civilization 4 folders. Should I create one?

The closest thing I've got to what you describe is located at C:\Users\Lloyd\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire - but there's no Rebellion folder there either. There are three mod folders there though. Mods-Diplomacy v1.34 (Which only contains one file, EnabledMods.txt), Mods-Entrenchment v1.053 (Which only contains one file, EnabledMods.txt), and Mods-v1.193 (Which is empty).

The other related folder I have is C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire - Rebellion. But that folder only has five files in it; header_logo.png, inifix.cmd, sinsrebel.html, ssed.exe, and UninstHelper.exe.

I can't find any other traces of Rebellion on my computer.

*Edit - I had a look at the mod destination as you suggested. It does say it's supposed to be in the My Games folder. i guess the game hasn't created a folder there for some reason.

*Edit the second - ah, i've found it now. Idiot me was looking in the wrong place. I was looking in C:\Users\Lloyd\My Games instead of C:\Users\Lloyd\My Documents\My Games. Oops.

run rebellion, click on options, click on mods, click on show mod path, note full path shown, open my documents, then follow path down to the mod folders and place mods in own folder here!( I call this the playing area)

and the ref files are more for modders or those wanting to create mods(which includes those wanting to adjust numbers and costs) and do not need or want to be in the playing area.
