Drath Legion gone forever?

I just started playing as the Drath Legion and it's fun to be a puppetmaster of the galaxy!

However, if I recall correctly, the Drath was eliminated during the Dark Avatar campaign.

Will they return to Gal Civ 3 or not because of the campaign?

They'll be back, for three reasons.

1. They can shape shift, so it is plausible that some could survive the war. Build a colonyship in secret, then full throttle through the dregnin blockade until you run out of fuel, and start again. (it worked for the Aliance in Freelancer...)

2. The dregnin don't kill every last person, it isn't their way to do that (Korath clan excepted for specific in game reasons) although to carry out a revolt similar to the Torians would be orders of magnitude more difficult.

3. It isn't their homeworld which got conquered...

It's been stated that if and when GalCiv 3 is made, the Korx and Drath will not be available as playable races due to the events of the DA campaign (though the Korx may appear as a minor race). While the Drath are not extinct as a species, they are no more as an organized civilization.

Well, lets hope there will be a civilizations that can cause people to spontaneously punch each other and cause wars.

While I admit I do not like the Drath Legion as an enemy due to this very reason: I do like the fact that causing infighting against my enemies is pretty fun!

Actually, it maybe possible that you could, lore-wise, make another major civilization to be very sneaky.

Especially if the Drengin conquered the galaxy...
