Suggestion: Larger Start Button Icon / Logo &

overlap the taskbar

One competing program for this feature is called, "Classic Shell 3.5.0".  Although I love the Start8 interface better and purchased the beta, I would suggest making the Start button orb larger to the same scale as the original, as the open source competitor has done here:

Also, back in Windows 7 there was another freeware Start button Orb changer program that uses BMP (24-bit bitmap images with alpha-blending support).  Would it be possible to include this support in Start8 during it's final release?  There are many more custom Start Button 'orbs' out there that already exist in this format I'd like to use.

Thanks

YOu can make your own buttons any size you like.  Look in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Start8\StartButtons for templates.

Converting images to png should be pretty easy.  Give it a google and see what you come up with.

I hear ya on the conversion process not being difficult, but I wasn't sure if the PNG format will keep the alpha blending attribute.

So I've resized the image and everything and it seems to apply just fine, however, it will not allow the image to overlap the bar (in other words, can we make the image taller than the taskbar's upper line?

compare your image to the included XP large one.  How is it different?

it's not.  none of them will go over the taskbar top line; which is what I would like it to do...  what I am requesting as a feature
