If I were to purchase Galactic Civilizations 2 today would there be any other assoicated fees in order to play the game afterwards like any monthly subscriptions and stuff of that sort? Thanks in advance!

Nope. If you buy the game (and I'm thinking you're looking at the Ultimate Edition which has the expansions rolled in there) there's no hidden charges afterwards.

It's just the game you buy. IIRC, if you get it through the gamefly link via the main page here it was £12.99 for the ultimate edition, but that was a month ago.
