981 bug - custom race no leather option

Hmmm, not such a bad option thinks I.

 

I may have put maybe two tained units into chain

 

Limited to leather - not such a bad option ...

 

Well. Let me express my surprise when I tried to create my first trained unit - after resaerching leatherworking

 

Helmet - check +2

Braces - check +2

Breastplate +4 - Nope

Cloak - Nope

Greaves - +2 - Check

 

Still a great game

Try exiting the unit design screen and re-entering, or saving and reloading.  This happens quite frequently with not only various articles of equipment and clothing, but also traits.

Thx - It gets worse

 

I tried another custom race and didnt check "No Armour"

 

However after researching leatherworking and trying to design a unit - it had the same problems

 

Thx for the advice though

 

Not comforting though - since most of this should have been caught at alpha or unit test levels

I don't understand this :S

While I agree, I hardly ever get to lategame warfare technology either, but I do use chain-mails on a lot of occasions (I usually focus research highly).

Has your custom race the Heroic trait? If yes, that may be the reason. It removes access to the leather cuirass. Also, Leatherworking does not grant access to any cloaks.

Edit: Okay, I took a look at your save and your faction does have Heroic.

Fixed thanks.  As Gaunathor intimated the problem was that Wanderlust unlocked the Athican Leather Curiass but Heroic blocked the old one.  wanderlust was supposed to do both.
