Stardock has released Beta 5C of the upcoming Fallen Enchantress game today. 

This update contains:

  • Lots of new early game common items
  • Various fixes
  • AI improvements
  • Balance tweaks
  • and more

Is there a way for me to activate it on steam if I own it on stardock now?

I tried entering my stardock key and it didn't work.

(9) Before anyone asks, no, you can’t transfer your FE serial to Steam. I can’t go into the details on why this is so don’t ask. Just assume it has something to do with gold plated rocket cars or something.

Any chance we can get a discount code or a way to buy it half price on steam? I would pay $10 to buy it again on steam so I never need to patch but not $40.

I'd just like updating capability to be built into the DRM-free version. Manually installing patches is a pain sometimes.

Got it!  The previous one didn't install correctly for me, but this version seems to have worked fine.  However, it will be about 3 days before I will have anytime to spend with it.

Its got to be a pain, but if you can figure it out Im pretty sure a lot of the people here would throw some more money your way.  You could even send some people here a steam link for an overpriced version but one that adds a Stardock account discount.

That was hard to make make sense, but read it again.  I would be happy to send some more money.  Not 40 bucks, but something.  This has been a fun ride.  I'd hate to see a "Closed For Business" sign in the front door.

You've lived up to everything you've said you would.  Good work.

p.s.  I just got my butt handed to me again after a few turns.  I love the grunt sfx when your getting a beat-down.

 

p.p.s.  Just got it handed to me again from some troll.  Very much enjoying the feeling of being a weak bastard at the start.

 

I'll quit with the p.s. crap.  Im going to have to lower the difficulty a little.  Multiple brutal beating was fun as all get out though.

 

What am I doing?  I should be raising my kids...  Could/would it be possible to slow down time when a champion or your Sov takes a death blow?  Its hard to enjoy the animations at the current speed.

Im done typing for the night.  You did a fine job from 4-5 beta.

The standard speed is 'fast'(2x) for some reason. You can reduce it to 'normal'(1x) in the options menu.

Liking it!  This is real the first beta version I've been able to spend much time with.  It has been entirely stabke, nice looking, more to it than I had though earlier.
