What to do about trolls on ICO...

So we have a problem on ICO...trolls....

I'm not talking about the people who are mean or just general asshats....or even the certain someone who likes the ancient chinese dialect of ALL CAPS...I'm talking about those people who don't quit when they should, or pause indefinitely in smaller games...you know, the people who really ruin the game for everyone... 

The games where this occur are absolutely ridiculous...if not all the humans on a team quit, you basically have to kill every planet owned by everyone on that team....on large and huge maps, that can take a very very long time...

Some hosts who are aware of these people and their trolling will often boot them from games and refuse to allow them in....but not all hosts are wary of these trolls or don't want to come off rude...

I am proposing the idea of a blacklist...I'm not looking to ban these people (we've had enough of that around here), but I do think the community as a whole should be aware of these people....those who troll and ruin games for everyone will develop reputations that will have unofficial but grave consequences.....you troll continually, you get blacklisted...you get blacklisted, then everyone knows your reputation and hosts can choose whether to keep you in or boot you...

This is not a joke "Official Troll List"....this is a serious effort that unfortunatley has been thwarted at every turn....

The majority of people here are at least in college or college educated.  Please do not treat the forums like walls of a rest stop restroom.

Actually, some frat guys would probably do that, regardless of them being in college. Just saying.

I'm sorry, but people like you guys ruin these games for others.

You've created some elitist set of arbitrary rules, you expect every player in existence to conform to these rules without ever being made aware of them, and when they fail to do so, you prohibit them from actually playing.

This thread started as a serious endeavor to change the behaviors of 2 or 3 people that sincerely were causing problems for the MP community...this thread was made at a time where the actual MP community (not comp stomp players) consisted of ~50 people total, and thus 1 or 2 trolls consistently dragging games out could hold up several players and thus prevent another 5v5 from starting...

Yes, some people took the thread too far and decided just to rant about everyone they didn't like...but in reality, only the 2 or so problem people were actually affected...hosts kicked them for a few days, and when they were allowed to join games they ceased to cause problems for everyone else...this thread in conjunction with steam/ICO chats got the problem resolved with no collateral damage....

Quite frankly, your criticism is unwarranted and seems to lack some important perspective....
