ThinkPad X1 Carbon and more gadget love this Fall

imageOctober is going to be insanely good.

I have a ThinkPad X1 Carbon on order for my wife.

A new Kindle white on order for me.

And of course the iPhone 5 will be generally available.

It does appear technological progress and innovation is accelerating.

Back in the early 90's a Kiwi called John Britten devised a way to create load-bearing structures from carbon fibre.... which came to the notice of Ron Dennis of McLaren F1 ... who went 'wow' and compared notes.

Apparently the technology has made it to the 'humble' PC ...;)

The advent of the internet has reduced people communication skills to almost nil.  Here's an example: let tell you about product a....  Product a. Llook it up if you want to know more.  See I told you about it. Here's another one: dev journal entre for a game....   So, this is what it takes to be a (insert title)....  You see, now you know more about this game.

I go in expecting one thing, and get something else if that.  Imagine if I ask you guys something, or go promise to tell you about something and then do a quick switcharoo.  I'm sure my thread will gets lots of attention :p

Perhaps I need to explain.

You asked a question in #4.  I answered it in #5.  You asked it again in #6.  I suggested in #7 you are lazy to obviously want someone to hold your hand with an explanation. You suggest my communication skills are lacking in #8 and I elucidate in #9.

I, too would have gone with the 'revised' comment in #10.  The first version wasn't 'ideal'....;)
