Two potential issues: (1) remote desktop and (2) Word documents with spaces in the file name

I've been using Start8 for about two weeks now and love it.  Yesterday I visited one of our offices and installed Start8 on a PC running Windows 8 Pro x64.  In the evening, I accessed the PC via Remote Desktop and was surprised that I wasn't presented with the desktop after logging in nor did I see the Start8 button on the task bar.

I tried re-installing, rebooting, etc. but couldn't get Start8 to appear when I logged in.  I can manually run the Start8.exe and it seems to work fine.

Are there any known issues with Start8 and Remote Desktop?

Another issue I've noticed is with loading recent Word files from the Start8 menu when the file names contains spaces.  For example, I created a 2010 Word file called "Fiscal 2013 budget.docx" in Word.  When I select Word from the Start8 menu it shows "Fiscal 2013 budget" as a recently used document.  When I select it, Word is launched but I get an error stating the file called "Fiscal.docx" can't be found.  This is followed by another error stating "2013.docx" can't be found and then "budget.docx" can't be found.

Is this a known issue?  Launching Word documents whose file names don't contain spaces works as expected.  I repeated this experiment with Notepad using a file named "read me.txt" and it launched without problems.
